Make A Turkey Club Sandwich With Cranberry

The ingredients of a turkey club sandwich vary in recipe books. However, the three slices of bread used have become the standard way to make the sandwich. In reference to its size, people refer to the turkey club sandwich as a "double-decker" sandwich. The added cranberries provide a sweet accent. Traditionally, restaurants serve the turkey club sandwich in four equal triangle sections. The sandwich is popular in restaurants across America.

Instructions

1. Place all of the ingredients out on the counter. Begin preparing your turkey club sandwich by spreading pesto sauce on three slices of bread.

2. Set the 4 bacon strips across one slice of bread. Make sure the pesto side is facing up.

3. Add 1/4 cup of shredded butter lettuce on top of the bacon.

4. Slice a clean tomato. Place 2 tomato slices on top of the lettuce.

5. Add dried cranberries on top of the lettuce. Place the next slice of bread on top of the cranberries with the pesto side facing down.

6. Stack the turkey breast on top of the sandwich.

7. Top the turkey breast with ¼ cup of butter lettuce. Add the 8 oz. slice of havarti cheese.

8. Place the last bread slice on top of the cheese. Ensure that the pesto side is facing down.

9. Cut the sandwich into four triangles. (Simply cut an X-shape with a sharp knife.) Serve the sandwich with a pickle.
