Make Cheesy Shrimp And Grits

Shrimp

Cheesy shrimp and grits is a recipe that is familiar in the southern parts of the United States. It certainly is delicious and satisfying and is one of those meals you can call comfort foods. Here is an easy recipe for cheesy shrimp and grits.

Instructions

1. Bring four cups of seafood stock to a boil with salt to taste and slowly add grits by whisking in. Slowly mix grits in until they lose their lumpy texture. If mixture becomes too thick too soon, add remaining stock. This will take anywhere from 15-20 minutes. Add shredded cheese and whisk until any remaining lumps are gone and add salt and pepper to taste.

2. Add olive oil to a saute pan along with the garlic and simmer. Add shrimp and cook evenly on both sides until golden and fully cooked. It will take around 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove once cooked.

3. Divide grits into four plates and sprinkle each serving with bacon bits. Top with 6 shrimp per plate and drizzle chopped green onions over it. Serve and enjoy!
