Get rid of termites
Finding termites in or around your home is often a source of stress and sometimes, panic. Homeowners across the country fear the final bill written up after a termite treatment. While it is important to get a professional's opinion as to the extent of your termite problem, there is an inexpensive way to kill the termite population around your house before it gets out of control. Boric acid has long been known as an inexpensive way to kill household pests such as ants, roaches and silverfish. Boric acid is capable of killing just about any insect imaginable, including the termite. While shutting down the nervous system, boric acid will also dehydrate the termite, which eventually kills it. Using boric acid to control termites will severely cut down on any termite issues you may have now or in the future.
Instructions
1. Dig a hole in the ground large enough to accommodate one of the pieces of wood.
2. Place the piece of wood into the hole.
3. Sprinkle the boric acid liberally onto the wood.
4. Bury the piece of wood with the soil you just dug up.
5. Place these wood bait stations in several areas around the perimeter of your home.
6. Check the bait stations periodically to see if the boric acid has been carried away. If there is no boric acid remaining, sprinkle more on the wood, and bury it again. Proceeding in this manner for several weeks should wipe out most, if not all, of the termite colonies living around your home.
Tips Warnings
Place bait stations where you have previously seen termites congregating.
If you suspect you have a severe termite infestation, consult with a professional exterminator immediately.
