15 year old Bryant AC Condensing unit

Hi, I have got an older unit: Bryant Product # FC4BNF036000AEAA Model # FC4BNF036 Serial # 3296A22800 VOLTS 208 / 230 MOTOR HP 1/3 It's been working ok cooling our 3 floor 1000 sq. space, but today it's been 110-115 with heat index here in DC/MD area and the unit is not keeping up. Early morning and overnight it worked ok: at nights the outside temps were in the 80's and the indoor temp kept fine at the tstat setting of 76, but today during the day outside temps got up to 110-115 and the unit, while set at 79, could not keep up. The indoor temp kept creeping up to 81-84 range, while the AC ran for hours and the air out of the registers was cool but not as cool as it should be. What are the maximum outdoor temps that normally old units like mine are designed for? Is it normal for it not to be able to keep up during very extreme hot and very very humid days? Thanks!!! YES, it is normal not to keep up with those types of days.... it all goes back to what the load calculation was done for... in my area we normally sed maybe a few 90F days through the summer but not much more and so the systems are designed for the hottest day of the year being 90F....Lately we have been having 100F days and many systems in my area are not keeping up.
