Make Fish Sticks

Fish sticks can easily be made at home. Not only is it a healthy meal, but a child can very easily help you make their dinner. Buying more than enough fish can give you the chance to make your own fish sticks and freeze them for another day. While frying fish sticks is always an option, baking them in an oven is a much healthier way to enjoy this tasty meal.

Instructions

Make Fish Sticks

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees if you want to bake your fish sticks, and spray your baking pan with cooking spray.

2. Cut the cod into fish stick size pieces. You could even cut them into fun shapes for children or into nuggets to change it up. Make sure each piece is the same size so they are cooked evenly and thoroughly.

3. Put the bread crumbs and milk each in their own medium sized bowl.

4. Dip each piece of fish into the milk first. Then, roll the fish around in the bread crumbs until it is evenly covered.

5. Place the pieces of fish on the baking pan and spread them out so they aren't touching.

6. Bake the fish in the oven for 45 minutes or until they are crispy brown.

7. Frying fish sticks is another option. Heat a skillet with cooking oil over medium-high heat and fry a couple of fish sticks together, turning them once, for about ten minutes or until they're golden-brown.
