Use Pine Nut Oil For Health

Pine nut oil is a pressed vegetable oil made from the nuts of pine trees. The "nuts" are actually seeds, and there are roughly 20 different species used to press the oil. Pine nut oil has many uses, including culinary, nutritive, and medicinal. Learn use pine nut oil to improve your health, suppress your appetite, and increase your protein intake.








Instructions


1. Use pine nut oil as a carrier or base oil for aromatherapy and massage oils. Dilute 10 drops essential oil of choice in two teaspoons (10 ml) pine nut oil, and massage into the skin. Pine nut oil has a very light texture, and is easily absorbed by the skin.


2. Use pine nut oil in the kitchen. It can be used in soups, spreads, pesto, and many different sauces. Many Mediterranean dishes incorporate pine nut oil, such as pine nut oil tapenade, and baba ganouj, which is an Egyptian eggplant spread.


3. Use pine nut oil to heal gastrointestinal problems. Take one teaspoon (5 ml) of pine nut oil three times per day, at least thirty minutes before meals, to heal gastritis and peptic ulcers. Increase this dosage to two teaspoons (10 ml) for duodenal ulcers, and you'll soon be on the mend.








4. Use pine nut oil as an appetite suppressant. According to a study performed by Lipid Nutrition, pine nut oil releases and boosts appetite suppressing hormones, known as cholecystokinin (CCK), up to 88 percent for as long as four hours. Try taking one teaspoon (5 ml) of pine nut oil three times per day before meals to suppress the appetite.


5. Use pine nut oil to increase your protein intake. Pine nuts have the highest amount of protein of all nuts. Add some nuts or pine nut oil to your diet, or take a supplement to increase protein. This is especially helpful for vegetarians and vegans.


6. Use pine nut oil as an overall health tonic. The oil has been used traditionally to treat inflammatory disorders, digestive problems, and to improve cardiovascular health. Pine nut oil also contains large amounts of antioxidants, which are good for the entire body - organs, skin, hair, and blood.
