Write A Message On A Cake

If you have an upcoming occasion where you will need to write a message on a cake, then you need to be prepared. Whether it is "Happy Birthday" or something more elaborate, writing on a cake can be intimidating. With a few tips and some practice, you will soon be ready to begin writing your message.

Instructions

1. Refrigerate the cake for 10 minutes before beginning the writing. Remove the cake and place it on your workspace.

2. Decide what message you want on your cake and how you want it positioned. Count out the number of letters in each of your lines and find the middle letter.

3. Place the piping tip onto the pastry bag and fill with the icing. Hold the bag so your dominant hand will squeeze the icing and your other hand will guide the bag. You want your bag positioned at a 45-degree angle with the cake.

4. Start your message by squeezing the bag evenly and writing the middle letter in the center of the cake. Continue writing the letters to the right and left of it until your message is complete. This positioning will ensure that writing is positioned nicely on the cake.

5. Fix any flaws by squeezing extra icing into imperfect letters or add decorations to hide mistakes. Your cake is now complete with your message. Enjoy!
