Eat Crabs

If you like crab, you have a wide variety of ways in which to prepare and enjoy crab. From hot crab soup to succulent crab legs to spicy Maryland blue crabs, crab enjoyment can be limitless. Follow these steps to learn some of the ways to eat and enjoy crab.

Instructions

1. Eat crabs in the form of a crab cake. Serve a crab cake on top of a toasted bun with lettuce and tomato. Enjoy with a topping of cocktail sauce or tartar sauce, or enjoy the crab cake plain.

2. Crack open some steamed crab legs and dig right in. To enjoy crab legs, look for king crab legs or snow crab legs. Both of these crabs have very large legs with plenty of succulent crabmeat. Enjoy the crabmeat plain or with a squeeze of lemon to help bring out the fresh seafood flavor. Serve alongside some melted butter for dipping.

3. Have a Maryland blue crab feast. Cover a large table with butcher paper and pour out a bushel of steamed Maryland blue crabs covered in a spicy seafood seasoning such as Old Bay seasoning. Use a crab mallet and a nutcracker to help you get to the plentiful crabmeat in the claws and the body. Serve Maryland steamed crabs with fresh rolls, butter and corn on the cob. Be sure to have plenty of napkins ready to help clean up messy hands.

4. Warm up with a bowl of hot crab soup. Made with a tomato base, vegetables, potatoes and fresh crabmeat, a bowl of crab soup will satisfy any crab lover. Serve crab soup alongside saltine crackers, oyster crackers or a slice of crusty bread for dipping.
