Use A Standard Wine Opener







The standard wine opener, or cork puller, will require arm strength and patience to use.


There are many wine openers on the market ranging from automatic openers to openers that operate on one pull of a lever. This has left many wine drinkers discouraged from using the standard wine opener, also referred to as a cork puller, because it requires arm strength and more patience. This article will help reacquaint everyone with the standard wine opener.


Instructions


1. Remove foil or covering from the top of wine bottle, exposing the top of the wine cork.


2. Place the sharp end of the wine opener on the center of the wine cork.


3. Push down on the cork with the wine opener while twisting the wine opener clockwise. Continue twisting until the spiraled section of the wine opener has completely dug into the cork.


4. Firmly pull the wine opener to remove the cork while gently twisting the wine opener clockwise and counter clockwise to help.


5. Remove the cork from of the wine opener by twisting the cork clockwise on the wine opener.


6. Save the wine cork to re-cork the wine bottle if there is any left after drinking. This will keep air out of the bottle and keep your wine fresh.
