Convection Roast Pork Tenderloin

Pork tenderloin is a small, flavorful pork roast, averaging 1 lb. in weight.

A convection oven uses circulating air currents to blow hot air throughout the oven chamber. These air currents cook foods in a convection oven faster than in a conventional oven. Most recipes for roasting pork tenderloin are designed for conventional ovens. When using a convection oven, decrease the cooking time to avoid drying out the pork. Properly cooked, your roast pork will be juicy and flavorful.

Instructions

1. Season the pork tenderloin according to your recipe.

2. Preheat the convection oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The convection oven will not take as long as a regular oven to heat up.

3. Arrange the tenderloin in the baking pan, and insert the meat thermometer into the thickest portion of the center of the meat.

4. Roast the pork at 350 degrees Fahrenheit in the convection oven until the meat thermometer reads 155 degrees Fahrenheit. This will take between 18 and 20 minutes, depending on the size of your pork tenderloin.

5. Let the tenderloin rest outside of the oven for five minutes and serve.
