Lower Cholesterol With Vinegar


While it has been common among practitioners of homeopathic medicine and natural healing to tout the benefits of apple cider vinegar, the modern medical community has been slow to recognize those benefits. That trend has started to change as newer studies now show advantages as well. By regularly consuming apple cider vinegar as part of your normal diet regimen you can substantially increase good cholesterol (HDL) and lower bad cholesterol (LDL). You can incorporate apple cider vinegar into your diet in a variety of ways.


Instructions


1. Mix it with juice. You only need to use about two tablespoons per day. Mixing it with an acidic juice will help cover up some of the flavor. Try apple, grape or orange juices. You can mix it with one or more of these at the same time.


2. Make a hot toddy (without the alcohol). Fill your favorite coffee mug with water. Add two tablespoons of vinegar and put it in the microwave. Heat your drink to the desired temperature, add two tablespoons of organic honey and stir.


3. Add it to salad. Whether you are a regular salad eater or not, this is a good option especially if you are trying to lower your cholesterol levels. You should also be eating more green leafy vegetables to help with your cholesterol, so a salad makes sense.








4. Eat it with fish. Eating fish twice weekly with apple cider vinegar will give your body access to the essential fatty acids it needs as well. Vinegar makes a delicious condiment for just about any type of white fish like cod or tilapia.


5. Drink it straight. If you do decide to brave it and include vinegar in your diet this way, take it quickly.
