Make A Hawaiian Salad

Hawaiian salad will add a bit of tropical atmosphere to any meal, any time of year. It can be made with fruit, or it can have a bit of green salad mixed in. Either way, Hawaiian salad is easy and delicious.


Instructions


Fruity Hawaiian Salad


1. Drain the maraschino cherries and the canned mandarin oranges and pineapple tidbits, and cut the larger pieces of fruit in half. Place them in a large salad bowl and mix thoroughly.


2. Stir the mini-marshmallows into the fruit mixture.








3. Add the chopped walnuts and sour cream and stir the fruity Hawaiian sald until the ingredients are blended.


4. Serve the fruity Hawaiian salad chilled.


Hawaiian Salad With Lettuce


5. Drain the pineapple tidbits, and set aside 1 tablespoon of the juice.


6. Combine the lettuce, cheese and drained pineapple in a large salad bowl.


7. Mix the salad dressing or mayonnaise with the reserved pineapple juice and sugar in a small mixing bowl, and whisk it until it's thoroughly combined.


8. Pour the dressing over the lettuce mixture and toss until it's well coated. Serve the salad immediately.
