Make A Dijon Mustard Ham Sauce

Holiday dinners often include a baked ham. To liven up the table and add to the flavor of the meal there are many types of glazes that exist for ham. Honey and brown sugar glazes are normal, but to present a different flavor try a Dijon Mustard glaze for your next ham dinner.

Instructions

1. Mix together equal amounts of sour cream and mayonnaise until well blended.

2. Add to the sour cream and mayonnaise mixture some Dijon mustard and mix well. The end mixture should have a single color, not mixtures of white and yellow.

3. Put in a little chopped green onion to the mixture and stir until the onion is evenly distributed. Place the mixture in the refrigerator to chill and to prevent the mayonnaise from spoiling.

4. Bake your ham in the oven for the recommended time as shown on the label. Remove the ham from the oven about 15 minutes before the end of the cooking time and coat the surface of the ham with the glaze.

5. Return the ham to the oven and bake for 10 to 15 more minutes at 375 degrees. Remove the ham when the surface has browned and bubbles. Allow the ham to rest for 15 minutes before carving. Serve the remaining glaze mixture on the side.
