Make An Apple Chocolate Fudge Pie

Go to the fair and you can get an apple covered in some kind of delicious candy coating. After caramel, chocolate is the most popular covering for an apple. So, what better way to combine these two items than by making a pie?

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Unroll the refrigerated pie crust into the pie plate. Press the crust into the plate, so that no air remains between the crust and the plate. Place pie crust in oven for five minutes and take out to cool.

2. Peel apples and cut into 3/4-inch to 1-inch pieces. Make sure to remove the core. Mix cinnamon, brown sugar and nutmeg in a bowl. Toss cut apples in mixture. Set aside.

3. Place semi-sweet chocolate in a bowl with condensed milk. Microwave on high for thirty seconds and stir mixture. Repeat this step as many times as you need until chocolate mixture is smooth. Stir vanilla into chocolate mixture.

4. Arrange apples in pie crust in a circular pattern so that apples overlap. Cover pie crust with aluminum foil and place in oven for 40 minutes at 375 degrees.

5. Remove pie from oven and uncover. Pour chocolate mixture over apples in pie crust. Let cool on counter for 10 minutes, then move to refrigerator for at least two hours and allow fudge to set.

6. Cut and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
