Use Vanilla Pudding In Corn Pudding

Make pudding as a tasty dessert treat.

Combining corn and vanilla pudding makes for a savory treat. Taken separately, corn pudding and vanilla pudding have many identical ingredients -- including eggs, milk, salt, butter and sugar. The key to combining the flavors is to substitute the standard vanilla extract in corn pudding and replace it with vanilla bean paste. The ingredient transition will add a slight boost of flavor to give the dessert a balance of corn and vanilla flavors.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Whisk three whole eggs together into a large mixing bowl.

2. Combine the milk, salt, sugar and pure vanilla bean paste with the eggs. Stir the ingredients together until thoroughly mixed.

3. Open the can of corn and drain it. Dump the corn into the mixing bowl and stir together with the other ingredients.

4. Rub butter onto bottom and sides of a 1.5-qt. casserole dish. Pour the mixture into the dish and insert into the oven for 60 minutes.
