Melt Cheese On Nachos Evenly

Melt Cheese on Nachos Evenly

Nachos are a popular snack for many Americans. You can find nachos at movie theaters, ball games, sporting events, concerts, carnivals and fairgrounds. Some people choose to add toppings to their nachos. Toppings like chili, jalapenos, sour cream, tomatoes and salsa are some common topping choices. Of course, the best part for many is the creamy cheese that always accompanies nachos. Making this tasty treat at home is easy and fast, especially when you use the microwave. Discover the trick in melting your cheese evenly throughout your nacho snack.

Instructions

1. Place as many nacho chips as you desire in a microwave safe bowl. Tortilla chips come in many shapes and varieties. Find your favorite and use it for your nacho snack creation.

2. Cut off a chunk of cheese. The size of the chunk will depend on how much cheese you like on your nachos. An average looking nacho snack has 1 to 2 oz. of chips, with 3 oz. of cheese.

3. Take the chunk of cheese and cut it into small cubes. Use a sharp knife or cheese cutter to cut the cheese into cubes.

4. Top your nacho chips with the cubes of cheese. Spread the out as evenly on the chips as possible. Tuck some cubes underneath the first layer of chips, so the cheese will melt onto chips near the bottom of the bowl.

5. Stick the bowl in the microwave. Heat the snack for 1 minute on medium high. After the minute is up, use tongs to gently mix the nacho chips around in the cheese.

6. Stick the bowl back in the microwave for another minute on medium high. Take the bowl out and use the tongs to mix the chips and cheese together again. Continue this process until the cheese has completely melted.
