Make Homemade Fudge The Easiest Recipe Ever

Using squares or chips, chocolate forms the base for fudge, a candy that includes many popular variants, such as chopped nuts.

Classic fudge is tricky to make. If you cook it wrong, sugar crystals form. If you you don't gauge the temperature correctly, or if you don't beat it right, the fudge turns out rock hard. If you beat it too long or at too cool a temperature, it crumbles. Unlike classic fudge, easy microwave fudge requires very little cooking skill. It takes less time, dirties fewer dishes and doesn't even require a stove top. Yet it's good enough to bring to parties or give as gifts.

Instructions

1. Line the square pan with wax paper.

2. Combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in the bowl.

3. Microwave on high for three minutes. Stir until the chips melt and the chocolate and milk are completely blended.

4. Stir in the vanilla, salt and nuts.

5. Spread the fudge in the wax paper-lined pan and refrigerate for two hours until firm.

6. Turn the fudge out onto a cutting board. Peel off the waxed paper. Slice the fudge into squares.
