Get Frozen Ravioli Apart

Seemingly nothing is more frustrating than opening the freezer to grab a few ravioli from the bag for dinner than to find they are all frozen together. You know you don’t want to cook them all, but they are so solidly frozen, it seems impossible to break them apart. But there are a few tricks you can try to break the individual frozen ravioli apart.

Instructions

1. Make sure the bag is sealed tight and drop it on the floor. You may have to do this several times. This should break the ravioli apart.

2. Remove the desired amount of ravioli from the bag. Use a butter knife to gently pry each individual one apart.

3. Let the ravioli set on the counter for approximately 5 minutes. This should be long enough for you to separate the ravioli. Refreeze the remainder immediately.

4. Break apart as much of the frozen ravioli as possible with your hands. Drop the ravioli into a pan of boiling water. As the ravioli cook, they will separate.
