Visit The Three Stooges' Graves

If you are a Three Stooges fan or just want to pay your respects, you can visit their graves. Although they are one of the most famous entertainment groups, they were not laid to rest together. However, they are all buried in California so you can visit their graves all within a relatively short period of time.

Instructions

1. Recognize that you'll need to visit four different cemeteries to find the graves of all various members of the Three Stooges. The most common lineups were of "Larry, Moe and Curly" and "Moe, Larry and Shemp." Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Shemp Howard, Curly Howard and Joe Besser are all buried around Hollywood, California. Whenever possible, get a map of the particular cemetery (they may be available at the entrance) to find your way around.

2. Head to Hillside Memorial Park in Culver City, California to find the grave of Moe Howard. Howard's crypt is located in the outdoor mausoleum "Garden of Memories." It's in a small, triangle courtyard that you can get to through the "Court of Love." The crypt is on the back wall, two up from the bottom.

3. Visit the Home of Peace Cemetery in East Los Angeles to find the graves of Curly and Shemp. Shemp's grave is located in the mausoleum, the second row from the bottom. Curly is buried in the Western Jewish Institute section of the cemetery in Row 5, Grave 1.

4. See the final resting places of Larry Fine and Joe Besser at the Forest Lawn Glendale. Larry's crypt is within the Freedom Mausoleum on the bottom floor. His crypt is No. 22247 and it's within the Sanctuary of Liberation at the far south end on the bottom row. Joe Besser is buried outside in the Dedication section, L-4404, Space 2A.

5. Go to Valhalla Memorial Park in North Hollywood to see the grave of Curly Joe Da Rita. Da Rita's grave is located near the southern entrance to the cemetery. Look on the east side of the lawn by the entrance in Block D, Section 338, Lot 19.
