Make Cajun Stuffing

Cajun stuffing is known for the spicy rice that's also known as dirty rice. This is a traditional side dish in many Louisiana homes. Cajun cooking is known for the spices and colorful dishes that combine French and Southern cooking styles. Learn to make Cajun stuffing with some fresh vegetables and a few cans of soup and rice that you probably already have at home.


Instructions


1. Add the ground beef and onions to the casserole dish along with the bell peppers, and place in the oven at 425 degrees F for 20 minutes. When it's done cooking, remove the dish and place it on the counter.








2. Add the remaining ingredients to the pan. Mix all of the ingredients together with a wooden spoon and cover with a lid or aluminum foil.


3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes.


4. Remove from the oven and spoon the Cajun stuffing out into bowls. Serve hot. The dressing should be moist, but not sitting in liquid. If this is still too liquid, place back in the oven for 10 minutes with the heat off and allow the remaining heat in the oven to cook it the rest of the way.
