Cheese To Salmon

Salmon is a fish that can be used in a variety of dishes. It has a mild, distinct flavor that compliments many other foods. Whether you are using salmon as a main course or adding it to a favorite salad or casserole, you also should consider adding cheese to the dish. From sharp yellow cheese to white cheeses, you can find a wide assortment to choose from.

Instructions

1. Think international and add Parmesan cheese to salmon on top of the other Italian spices. The same ingredients work well in a baked Italian dish.

2. Melt cheddar or American cheese on top of a piece of salmon for a sandwich or main dish. After cooking the salmon, place the cheese on top and stick it under a broiler for one minute or in a microwave for 30 seconds.

3. Shred Colby cheese into your white sauce that you plan on using for a pasta dish with salmon. Add cooked salmon to the sauce after all the cheese has melted, just before serving.

4. Make a great dip for vegetables or crackers with cream cheese and salmon. Soften the cream cheese and add garlic or onion powder. Mix it together, and then crumble cold, cooked salmon into the dip. Garnish with parsley or green onions.

5. Add goat cheese to your biscuit sandwiches. Let fresh biscuits cool and cut in half. Spread seasoned goat cheese on one half of the biscuit and lay a piece of cooked salmon on the other half. Fold together for a taste sensation.
