Store Dough

Stored dough comes in handy when you have to bake and don't have time to start from scratch. You only have to take the dough out of the container start kneading. Follow these steps to store a big batch of dough for the next time you bake.

Instructions

1. Make the dough according to the recipe instructions. After bread dough has risen at least once, poke it with your fingers and deflate lightly.

2. Store for a short period. Wrap the dough in clear plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for a few hours. Do not prolong the storage, as it can change the consistency of the wrapped dough.

3. When you want to keep dough fresh for a long period, store it in the freezer. Place the dough in a clean and dry air tight plastic container. Place the container in the middle of the freezer where the temperature is at its highest. When you are ready to bake, remove the wrap from the frozen dough and keep it at room temperature for 3 to 4 hours or until the dough defrosts.
