Make Mexican Cream Cheese Dip

Make this easy Mexican cream cheese dip recipe at home for your next party.

Instructions

1. Looking for a great dip recipe for crackers or tortilla chips? This one is perfect and so easy to make, that anyone can make it. Plus, you can "adjust" the spiciness of this dip recipe by changing the type of salsa that you use. Try mild, medium, or hot salsa, depending on how spicy you and your guests want the dip to be. You could even use salsa verde to create a unique taste.

To create a simple, homemade Mexican dip for your next party or gathering, start by placing eight ounces of softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl.

2. Next, add one half cup of salsa to your mixing bowl. Then stir in one tablespoon of lemon juice. Lime juice may be substituted.

3. Then, using an electric hand mixer, gently blend the cream cheese, salsa, and lemon juice until they are well mixed and creamy.

4. Finally, place your Mexican cream cheese dip in an airtight plastic container and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour. Storing longer or even overnight allows the flavors of this dip to develop fully and makes it even tastier. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or as a topping for nachos or a spread for tapas.
