Make A Gin Bucket

Whoever said that cocktails are reserved for swanky clubs and formal parties has obviously never experienced the magic that happens with a few good friends and a few turkey basters around a gin bucket. This humble beverage gets your party moving and makes for good fun and a great drink. The gin bucket is an excellent drink for any summer get-together and is gloriously easy to make.

Instructions

1. Get a large metal bucket with a handle, or a large empty tin can. Something with a lid is best for mixing this drink up, but just use whatever you have around to accomplish your goal.

2. Fill the bucket up at least to the halfway mark with ice cubes. To keep the drink from watering down as the night goes on, you can also add a big Ziploc bag full of ice to the bottom of the bucket to keep everything cold.

3. Pour an entire 1-liter bottle of gin over the ice.

4. Add 1 can each of frozen fruit punch concentrate, frozen lemonade concentrate, and frozen limeade concentrate into the bucket.

5. Toss in a jar of maraschino cherries, or slice up a few lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit, or any other fruit you'd like to add to your gin bucket, and then cover the gin bucket and shake it up to mix everything.

6. Supply some clear plastic cups and 4 or so turkey basters. Set these up next to your gin bucket to serve your drinks. You just dip the end of the turkey baster into the gin bucket and then squeeze it out into each cup.
