Give Free Samples

Everyone likes getting something for free. This form of advertising is a win-win for both the consumer and the person marketing the goods. You see representatives in all kinds of stores, from hardware to super centers to grocery stores to electronics stores, with free samples to give away. Give away free samples to promote your next business idea.

Instructions

1. Give away free samples of your product in retail stores. Meet with the store manager to discuss your product and when you can come back for your demonstration day.

2. Promote your product by giving free samples in parking lots or on street corners. Check with local city officials to find out if you need a permit to do this. Make sure it's allowable in your city.

3. Mail free samples to potential customers. Choose a geographical area and mail to all residents there.

4. Consult magazines that target your general product-for example, beauty magazines if your product is skin cream-and contract with them to put a free sample in a future edition of their magazines.

5. Ask your local newspaper to give away free samples for you in its Sunday edition of the newspaper. Go to the office of your local newspaper and ask to speak to the person in charge of marketing. Discuss terms with that person.

6. Create a webpage and offer your free sample. Advise people visiting to fill out the form and then send them free samples of your product. You can also submit your free sample to existing sites such as Freenormous.com and give away samples to those who request them.
