Make Oriental Chicken Dip

For your next dinner party mix up an exciting Far East version of a basic cream cheese and chicken dip. By adding bright, verdant flavors like soy sauce, cilantro, carrots and peanuts you can turn regular cream cheese into a show-stopping appetizer. Make it even better by serving the dip with your own homemade, baked wonton chips.

Instructions

1. Beat the cream cheese and milk until smooth. Spread on the bottom of a shallow serving dish, a pie plate works great for this dish then refrigerate.

2. Mix the chopped chicken, soy sauce and cilantro. Refrigerate for at least one hour. Both of these steps can be made a day ahead and cooled separately.

3. Spread the chicken mixture over the top of the cream cheese mixture. Top with shredded carrots and peanuts. Drizzle lightly with Sweet and Sour sauce.

4. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Cut each wonton wrapper in half diagonally and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for four to six minutes or until golden brown. Serve with the oriental chicken dip.
