The Houston metro area has a number of clubs for wine lovers, both independently run and run by wine stores. Wine clubs in Houston include an official chapter of the American Wine Society, the Wine Society of Texas, the Texas Tasters Guild and the Old World Wine Club. In addition, the website houstonwine.com maintains a calendar of wine-related events in the city and surrounding areas.

The Wine Society of Texas is a club dedicated to the promotion of Texas-made wines. Events include wine dinners and tastings at Texas wineries, as well as special presentations by Texas wine makers and sommeliers. The WST has several chapters, including a Houston chapter. Each sponsors its own events and assists with statewide wine celebrations and events.
Texas Tasters Guild
