If you have trouble digesting cow's milk, try a glass of goat milk instead.
In the United States, many people are accustomed to drinking cow's milk, but in many other countries, goats provide the milk of choice. Find goat milk at farmer's markets and some grocery stores. Besides the various nutritional benefits goat's milk provides, some people who cannot tolerate milk from cows can easily digest it. Goat's milk has a distinctive salty-sweet taste; use it in almost the same ways you would use cow's milk.
Instructions
1. Purchase goat's milk that has been stored in the coldest part of the refrigerator. Before buying the milk, smell the container, which will allow you to detect any spoilage. Ensure that the expiration date has not passed. After buying the milk, take it home promptly and refrigerate it quickly. Goat's milk, when left at high temperatures, sours rapidly.
2. Pour goat's milk into a glass and drink it as you would cow's milk. You may find goat's milk easier to digest if you have previously had problems with cow milk products.
3. Substitute goat's milk for cow's milk over cereal or in almost any recipe. Use goat milk to make yogurt or a crumbly cheese. You can use this goat cheese on pizza, salad, soup or almost any other dish.
