Cook Raw Goat Milk

Raw goat milk is unprocessed.

Goat milk is an alternative to traditional cow's milk. Raw goat milk is unprocessed and fresh. It can replace regular milk in most recipes which call for milk, though it might require cooking beforehand, depending on the recipe.

Instructions

1. Pour the milk through a milk filter. Since raw goat milk comes straight from the goat and is not pasteurized it requires filtering to remove any hair from the goat or similar unappetizing aspects. Allow the milk to drip through the milk filter until it has all passed through the filter.

2. Put the kettle or pan on the stove. Turn the heat to medium and allow the milk to simmer. It should take only a few minutes until the milk starts simmering. This effectively cooks the raw goat milk, removing any potential bacteria from the milk.

3. Remove the pan or kettle from the heat. Allow the milk to cool and then use it in recipes as a substitution for cow milk. Goat milk can be chilled and drunk like regular milk.
