Once you've whipped up the homemade alfredo sauce and boiled your pasta al dente, the two need to be mixed together to produce a hearty side dish or main course. Alfredo sauce is best served hot, but requires a few minutes to ensure that the sauce is soaked up into the pasta before serving.
Instructions
1. Prepare the homemade alfredo sauce according to a selected recipe. Use fresh ingredients to make the sauce.
2. Cook the homemade alfredo sauce in a large, non-stick pan over medium heat.
3. Boil pasta according to the package directions. Add 1 tbsp. of salt to the water. Pasta cooks best when the water is brought to a rolling boil.
4. Drain the pasta using a colander.
5. Grip the pasta with tongs or a pasta spoon, and place the warm pasta in the pan with the alfredo sauce.
6. Fold the pasta gently into the sauce, covering all of the pasta with sauce. Let the pasta sit for two minutes.
7. Place the pasta in a serving bowl, and serve as a main dish or a side dish.
