Muddy Buddies are a chocolate-peanut butter cereal snack that is quick to prepare. From start to finish this snack takes about 20 minutes to make. Whether it is an afternoon snack or a fast dessert try making Muddy Buddies to satisfy that sweet tooth.
Instructions
1. Mix the chocolate chips, butter, vanilla and peanut butter in the microwaveable bowl. Place the bowl in the microwave oven and heat on "high." Stir the mixture at one minute intervals until it is completely melted. Remove the bowl from the microwave and set aside.
2. Empty the whole box of Chex cereal into the mixing bowl. Pour the chocolate peanut butter mix over the cereal and stir until the cereal is evenly coated.
3. Pour the powdered sugar and the coated cereal mixture into the zipper-sealed bag and seal it. Shake the bag vigorously until the cereal is fully coated with powered sugar.
4. Spread the mixture onto wax paper to settle and let it cool for 15 minutes before serving. Store in an air tight container.
