The fudge pieces will stay fresh for up to a week if they are stored in an airtight container at room temperature .

Instructions

1. Butter the sides of a heavy 2-quart saucepan.

2. Add 1 cup of peanut butter and 8 oz. of unsalted butter to the pan.

3. Pour 2 cups granulated sugar and 2/3 cup milk into the saucepan.

5. Allow the mixture to heat up to 234 F.

6. Shut off the burner and remove the saucepan from the burner. Add 1/2 pint jar of marshmallow creme, one cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 tsp of vanilla immediately. Mix the ingredients well.

7. Pour the mixture into a buttered 9-by-9-by-2 inch baking pan.

8. Score your cut lines on top of the fudge. Allow the fudge two hours to set and cut it into 1 inch squares after it sets completely.
