Cook Frozen Omelettes

Frozen omelettes reheat in minutes with a microwave or oven.

Omelettes no longer have to be only for leisurely weekend breakfasts. Cook extra individual omelettes one day and freeze the rest for quickly reheating on a hectic weekday morning. The same technique for reheating the frozen omelettes will also work with commercially frozen products sold in supermarkets.

Instructions

Microwave Method

1. Arrange a single frozen omelette on a microwave-safe plate.

2. Cover the omelette with a paper towel.

3. Heat the omelette on high power for two minutes.

4. Leave the omelette covered in the microwave for one minute to finish cooking through. Heat the omelette for an additional one minute on high power if needed, but avoid over cooking.

Oven Method

5. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

6. Place the omelette on the baking sheet.

7. Tightly cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil.

8. Bake the frozen omelette for 20 minutes or until heated through.

9. Let the omelette rest for two minutes on the baking sheet before serving.
